At Usha Poultry and Fisheries, bird welfare, aquatic biosecurity, and pathogen control are our highest operational priorities. Modern intensive poultry operations and freshwater aquaculture ecosystems are vulnerable to external contaminants, avian pathogens, and waterborne diseases.
To safeguard our live bird stocks, fish ponds, and commercial grow-out units, we enforce strict biosecurity protocols. We welcome commercial partners, bulk buyers, and fellow farmers under regulated, pre-approved conditions.
General Visiting Policy
- No Unscheduled Walk-Ins: To prevent accidental disease introduction, on-farm visits without prior written or verbal confirmation are strictly prohibited.
- 48-Hour Advance Booking: All farm tours, pickup visits, and technical consultations must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance via phone or WhatsApp.
- Visiting Days & Hours: Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (subject to operational schedules, brooding cycles, and seasonal netting).
- Identification: Visitors must carry valid government identification and register their contact details at the main farm gate.
Pre-Visit Quarantine & Declaration
Before visiting our production facilities, guests must comply with the following basic criteria:
- No Prior Bird Contact: Visitors must not have visited another commercial poultry farm, wet live-bird market, or slaughterhouse within the preceding 72 hours.
- Clean Attire: Visitors must arrive wearing clean, freshly laundered clothing and clean footwear that has not been exposed to other farm yards or contaminated soil.
- Health Declaration: Anyone displaying flu-like symptoms or respiratory illnesses will not be permitted near the rearing units.
On-Site Biosecurity Protocols
All approved visitors and logistics personnel must follow these steps upon arrival:

| Vehicle Entry & Parking | All transport vehicles, feed trucks, and visitor cars must pass through the perimeter tire-disinfection spray or dip at the main gate. Non-essential vehicles must remain in the outer parking bay. |
| Sanitation Stations | Visitors must sanitize hands thoroughly at the entry wash station and step into the potassium permanganate / bio-disinfectant footbath prior to entering inner grounds. |
| Protective Wear | If entry to designated shed perimeters is authorized, visitors must wear farm-provided disposable shoe covers, boots, and aprons/overcoats. |
| Restricted Production Zones | Strict Red Zones: Brooding units, chick incubators, and nursery rearing pens are completely off-limits to visitors. Regulated Amber Zones: Fish ponds, composting bays, and feed storage areas can be viewed from designated walkways. |
| Physical Contact Restrictions | Visitors are strictly prohibited from touching live birds, duck flocks, feeding trays, or placing hands/tools into pond water. |
Live Stock Loading & Product Pickups
For bulk buyers collecting feeds, vermicompost, fingerlings, or live birds:
- Designated Loading Bay: All loading and dispatch operations take place strictly at the designated farm-gate dispatch dock, completely segregated from active brooding houses.
- Crate & Container Sanitization: Outside poultry crates, bird cages, or fish holding barrels must be thoroughly washed and disinfected before being brought onto the loading platform.
- Driver Restrictions: External transport drivers must remain within the loading zone and are not permitted to walk through production sheds or pond embankments.
